Sven points to a rocky outcrop that forms a small cul-de-sac with the larger mountains: "This would be a perfect place for people to hide from animals and even other humans. We need to look at what may have been left here, to see if some of these rock flakes were made by humans, or by erosion and ice cracks." Sven picks up a rock but then tosses it down, satisfied it hadn't been fashioned by a human hand. He sets off up the mountain, and I struggle to keep up.
