ARCTIC CIRCLE
We finally made it above the Arctic Circle, a latitudinal line around the Earth at approximately 66 degrees 30' North. It marks the southern boundary of the area within which, for one day or more a year, the sun never sets. The farther north you are of the Arctic Circle, the more days of complete sun in the summer and complete darkness in winter. At the North Pole the sun never sets for six months of the year.
