At the height of the May wildflower season, the photographer
took a ten-mile hike in the Point Reyes
National Seashore with a papier-mache bunny on his back.
Each passing hiker had an amused comment. Most frequent were references
to Lewis Carroll's white rabbit (the photo title quotes the first
thing Alice hears him say). Number 2 was "Is that Harvey?"
(response: "you see him too?!") Various jokes about rabbit
hunting came in third.
The text belongs to the "one bad pun
deserves another" school of greeting-card writing.
